About the hotel

This lavish bed and breakfast inn is set in a sumptuous castle, conveniently located in the heart of the beautiful Loire Valley amidst castles and wine cellars.

Château De Perreux - Bed & Breakfast is owned by an English and French speaking couple who aims at providing their guests with a memorable holiday experience in luxurious surroundings. This 18th century troglodyte castle presents a 5-hectare enclosed park and a lovely river. The on-site aquarium carved into the cliff is a listed monument.

The château d’hôte welcomes an international clientele, children of all ages, and the owners are happy to cater special dietary requirements on request or assist you with restaurant reservations and advice on nearby activities and sights.

The bar offers beverages and a good local wine list that you can enjoy on the lawns, in the Grand Salon or Salon Rouge. The Salon Rouge also features a huge flat-screen TV and DVD set that can be used to entertain children with the many DVDs available free of charge.

The owners of the chateau are also the proud owners of 2 lovely poodles, Louis and Marie-Antoinette. If dogs are disagreeable to you, please advise the chateau and they will be kept away for the duration of your stay.

Room Interior

Our 1 standard room (with a King size bed) is elegantly decorated in soothing cream and taupe colours. It is located on the 2nd floor of the castle (without lift), and it features a clean and modern en-suite bathroom. It faces south and offers beautiful views over the castle estate, swimming pool and Cisse River. This room is for 2 people and cannot accommodate an extra bed or third person. The King size bed cannot be replaced by twin beds.

Located on the 2nd floor of a light and airy 18th century turret, this spacious family suite consists of 2 connecting rooms with no door directly between them. It can accommodate up to 4 people, but the room rate is for 2 people only. It features a large super king size bed and 2 single canopied beds. At the time of booking, please advise the chateau if you need a cot. Additional guests in the room are charged either EUR 25 or EUR 50 depending on their age.

Restaurants and Bars

The Chateau requires more than 4 guests to serve dinner and reservation is mandatory. Please enquire prior to your arrival if dinner is available.

The typical French breakfast consists of freshly baked croissants and toasts, fresh orange, apple or grapefruit juice, yogurt, coffee and many different kinds of teas.
